Conditions of Entry

In submitting this nomination, the person making the nomination affirms they have complied with the following conditions of entry:

The award is open to any individual or organisation who/that operates full-time in the Australian trucking industry. An individual nominee must have at least 15 years of industry experience; an organisation must have carried out its industry activities for 15 years.

Nominations can be made by anyone, but self-nominations will not be accepted.

Two signed references from authoritative sources must accompany the nomination.

Previous winners in this award category are not eligible.

Selection Criteria

This section is an integral part of the judging process. The ATA along with the National Trucking Awards Judging Panel encourage and urge nominators to provide detailed responses to each section and to pay close attention to the requirements for supporting documents and files.

Personal Attributes and Work Experience*

Describe the person’s character, personality and interests.
Career History – list employers, years served, and position held.

*NOTE: If the nominee is an organisation, write about its beginnings, relevant corporate achievements, etc.

Demonstrated Contribution to the Industry

Demonstrate a long-term participation in road freight transport.
Demonstrate personal andor organisational commitment to achieving positive benefits for the industry through actions.
A demonstrated reputation for integrity and ethical behaviour.

Supporting Documents and Files

Nominations must be accompanied by a good quality, electronic photograph that can be used for publicity purposes (head and shoulders) or for an organisation, the company logo.
Nominations must include two signed references in the form of formal letters of support for the nominee with the name, business name and contact details of the referee.
Nominations may include additional documents pertaining to achievements, awards or honours which the nominee has received with direct relevance to the award they are being nominated for.

Judging Process

Finalists may be required to participate in a videoconference with the judging panel in March 2026.

Prize

The winner will receive $5,000 cash, a trophy, and will also be hosted* to attend Trucking Australia 2027, including the ATA Foundation Sponsors’ Gala Awards Dinner.

No components of the prize package are transferable.
