Gail Broadbent is a leading researcher on the transition to electric vehicles.

She is conducting modelling about the impact of transitioning to electric vehicles and the ability for Australian road transport to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Ms Broadbent is experienced in the broader policy debate about transitioning to electric vehicles, having consulted for local government, is a member of the Standards Australia committee for electric vehicles, has published a number of peer reviewed articles on electric vehicles, acted as a guest presenter at the University of Technology Sydney and undertaken numerous media interviews. She is a former transport policy adviser and is a committee member for Waverley Council Environment Sustainability Advisory Committee.

Gail has a degree in science and two masters’ degrees. She is currently at the University of NSW investigating social attitudes to electric cars.
