Dr Darren Wishart

Dr Darren Wishart is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Psychology and Director of the Work and Organisational Resilience Centre within the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University. Along with lecturing in Organisational Psychology, Dr Wishart’s research is primarily within the work driving safety area assisting organisations in driver behaviour change and reducing the frequency and severity of crashes in organisational vehicle fleets. He also conducts research in motorcycle safety and has almost two decades of experience in road safety research with a particular focus on transferring research knowledge into practical industry application. Dr Wishart is a registered psychologist and is an accomplished public speaker and workshop facilitator delivering numerous seminars, workshops and public speaking engagements on work related road safety and motorcycle safety both nationally and internationally. Dr Wishart is responsible for the development and delivery of the highly successful work and organisational driving safety behaviour and attitude change program. Dr Wishart has also been responsible for providing expert guidance and leading a project on the development of a safety management system for the public transport sector in Jakarta. Dr Wishart’s research involves working closely with stakeholders in the vehicle fleet industry to improve organisational driving safety through education, research, enhanced safety system management and benchmarking.
