In August 2021, Melissa joined Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds bringing extensive on-the-ground industry experience to her role as Director Industry Relations and Program Management.

Since joining Healthy Heads Melissa has lead the development and delivery of several initiatives including the Healthy Heads Nutrition Program, Healthy Heads Road Show outreach events as well as further development of tools and resources to support businesses to create psychologically safe and thriving workplaces.

In previous roles Melissa has worked in the road safety sector managing road safety projects and campaigns. Part of this time was spent as Safety, Health and Wellbeing Director at the Australian Trucking Association (ATA). Here, Melissa led the evidence-based design of SafeT360, the trucking industry’s major public-facing safety exhibition and campaign launched in November 2019. She also managed TruckSafe, a comprehensive industry safety accreditation scheme that considers the technical and mechanical aspects of industry safety and addresses human safety factors.
