Rachel Michaud is a mechanical engineer currently working as Aftersales Manager for Knorr-Bremse (KB), overseeing the KB Truck Services Expert Network and Training in Australia and New Zealand.

Since 2010, Rachel has been in the trucking industry working for Thales on defence vehicles, then from 2012, for Knorr-Bremse who specialise in braking and electronic safety systems for heavy vehicles and combinations.

Rachel is passionate about the industry and about improving vehicle and driver safety through the application of technology and innovative solutions.

Doing rollover testing for KB at DECA Shepparton and obtaining her multi-combination truck licence has helped her understand heavy vehicles from a practical perspective and also appreciate how powerful electronic safety systems are first hand.
