Marcus is a Chartered Professional Engineer and PBS Assessor specialising in heavy vehicle safety, product strategy, technology, performance standards, and policy and regulation.

Since founding Tiger Spider, Marcus has delivered thousands of design approvals, award winning software and vehicle standards reviews. Marcus was previously Technical Advisor to the PBS Review Panel, Manager Freight Policy at the NTC and product engineer for Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles.

Marcus recently proposed alternative manoeuvrability standards to increase design flexibility for rigid trucks, an automated route mapping framework for PBS vehicles and co-authored research into heavy multi-articulated vehicles with electric and hybrid power
