Mathew Wyatt is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of invaluable experience in the heavy vehicle industry. His remarkable journey began as an apprentice diesel technician, and since then, he has risen through the ranks, leaving an indelible mark in various roles within dealerships, distributors, and OEMs.

Mathew’s qualifications include a Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, a Cert IV in Training & Assessment, and a Diploma of Business Management. These qualifications, coupled with his extensive hands-on experience, have equipped him with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the heavy vehicle industry.

Throughout his career, Mathew has donned various hats, showcasing his versatility and adaptability. His roles have ranged from being a technician to assuming leadership positions such as foreman, Service Manager, Branch Manager, General Manager, Parts Sales Manager, Aftersales Manager, National Service Operations Manager, and Workshop Performance Manager. This rich tapestry of roles has not only broadened his horizons but also given him a comprehensive understanding of the industry from multiple angles.

Over the last decade, Mathew has displayed an unwavering commitment to improving efficiencies within service departments. His passion for continuous improvement has led to the refinement and enhancement of processes, the development of training programs, and the creation of role-specific pathways to support staff growth and development.

In 2022, Mathew Wyatt joined CMV Truck & Bus as the head of the CMV Truck & Bus Training Institute. In this role, he aims to expand the training opportunities offered and develop career pathways for all dealership staff. He is extremely proud to be able to be involved in the growth and development of the CMV Truck & Bus apprenticeship program for technicians and parts interpreters, which currently boasts an impressive 94 apprentices in the program today.
