Paul joined the NHVR in September 2016 and is currently the Director Southern Region (Operations). In this role, he manages on-road heavy vehicle compliance and enforcement activities in South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.

Paul has 30 years of legal experience in a combination of areas, including law enforcement with SA Police, predominately in criminal prosecutions. Before joining the NHVR, he was a prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. His previous experience in the legal profession included a partnership in a law firm specialising in criminal law, regulatory law and disciplinary matters.

Paul is a current disciplinary tribunal member for the South Australian Passenger Transport Committee and Certified Practising Accountants (Australia).
