The Australian Government is seeking to move to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

To get there, the ATA has argued that the Government should support maximum innovation in alternative truck fuels, because we still don’t know which technologies will be best for each part of the transport task.

We’ve argued that the Government should look at—

• drop in renewable fuels
• removing the barriers to the use of low or zero carbon vehicles
• measures to help businesses to buy them, and
• higher productivity vehicles.
