Brayden is passionate about using a strong evidence-base and meaningful engagement to ensure the NHVR understands and delivers on its obligations to industry and government.

Brayden previously worked for the Brisbane City Council performing its road manager functions (including leading engineering assessments for more than 5,000 heavy vehicle access requests) and delivering an infrastructure plan comprising more than 400 projects with an estimated value of more than a billion dollars.

Brayden joined the NHVR in October 2018 and as Manager, Freight and Supply Chain, leverages his previous experience to lead externally facing research and projects that involve partnering with road managers to create safety, productivity and sustainability outcomes for industry.

In 2023-24, he is leading the NHVR’s refresh of its Heavy Vehicle Productivity Plan and releasing a suite of tools to facilitate efficient, consistent and informed network access decisions by road managers, including Freight PASS.
