Nominations for the 2027 Forum will launch in the second half of 2026.

About the Forum

The Future Leaders’ Forum (formerly known as the Daimler Truck Future Leaders’ Forum) is a professional development program targeted at up-and-coming future leaders of the trucking industry. Nominations are accepted from the ATA’s network of eleven member associations and the TruckSafe program.

The program, which is now in its eighth year, has graduated close to 80 individuals who have gone on to secure leadership roles at ATA member associations and other industry bodies.

Most recently, the FLF program won the prestigious LearnX Platinum Award for Best Learning & Talent Development in the industry specific Leadership Development category.

The program consists of:

Workshops and/or online training on project management, presentation skills, media, social media, the Australian system of government and advocacy.
Development of an industry advocacy project in collaboration with other leaders on an industry issue.
Opportunity to present the topic at a relevant industry forum.

Participants will:

Learn how government policy is developed and how businesses and industry associations can have an influence in an effective and ethical way.
Develop a strong professional network with like-minded industry leaders and join the Future Leaders’ Alumni network.
