Safety Alerts
Safety alert bulletins are developed to inform the heavy vehicle industry about key safety issues. They aim to boost awareness, limit downtime, and promote safe and compliant practices. Each bulletin outlines a specific risk, its nature, affected components or practices, and recommended actions for safer transport operations.
Created by experts from the ATA Industry Technical Council and peer reviewed, these bulletins undergo periodic updates to reflect current best practices. Although advisory and not exhaustive, their adoption is voluntary. Users must assess relevance based on their own operations.
Operators are still legally required to meet all applicable statutory and regulatory obligations. This includes adhering to Australian Design Rules (ADRs), Australian Vehicle Standards Regulations, National Roadworthiness Guidelines, and any manufacturer-issued instructions related to vehicle systems.
These bulletins support a culture of safety, responsibility, and compliance across Australia’s heavy vehicle sector.
