Foundation sponsors
In 2026, the ATA-Foundation sponsor partnership celebrates its 35th anniversary, marking over three decades of growth, resilience, and impact.
BP Australia(bp), National Transport Insurance (NTI) and Volvo Trucks signed on as the ATA’s Foundation Sponsors in 1991. Their initial support secured the future of the fledgling organisation, then known as the Road Transport Forum.
Since then, they have combined to contribute many millions of dollars and time to the ATA’s advocacy, policy, communications, awards, events and outreach programs. These include the ATA’s leadership-focused flagship event, Trucking Australia, participation in its conference program and planning committee, supporting the ATA’s Safety360 truck, two major national trucking industry awards, financial and in-kind donations for the annual ATA auction and most recently, the InRoads Workforce and Multicultural Driver Roundtable.
The ATA’s Foundation Sponsors also provide an invaluable connection to large sectors of the trucking industry through their own customer networks.
The integrity of the foundation sponsor brands, and their core values align with the mission of the ATA: to enhance the safety, sustainability, profitability, and professionalism of the industry.
A significant achievement of this partnership has been the steady decline in the rate of articulated truck crashes over time.
The ATA congratulates and commends BP, NTI & Volvo for their loyal support over the last 35 years and looks forward to continuing its significant legacy.
