After its fuel price conference on Wednesday 25 March 2026, the Fair Work Commission directed ARTIO and the TWU to provide further information and detail about potential rate review processes, relevant data sources and potential adjustment formulas.
The commission invited other interested parties to file information addressing these issues on a voluntary basis.
This submission demonstrates that it is possible to develop a fuel price order without rigid formulas and without overturning fuel surcharge arrangements that are already in place.
The submission represents the ATA’s initial view about how a fuel price order could be put together. We will refine it further with members to develop a final position.
