Brett is an outcome focused leader with a passion for achieving safety and customer outcomes through the delivery of smart, risk-based engagement, education and compliance programs.

Having started his career as a diesel mechanic, Brett has worked to ensure the heavy vehicle sector meets safety standards and operates safely.

Brett previously worked at the then NSW Roads and Traffic Authority as a heavy vehicle inspector and in the years since has established himself as a leader in heavy vehicle compliance and enforcement in NSW.

Brett held various roles at the Roads and Maritime Services and Transport for NSW in delivering compliance operations statewide.

In addition, Brett led specialist teams to deliver safety initiatives for transport, their partners, and customers. This included licencing programs, education and engagement, and the NSW school crossing supervisor program with more than 1200 on-site crossing supervisors.

Brett joined the NHVR in August 2023 and is its Director-Central Region. He leads the on-road compliance program across NSW and the ACT.
