Craig Roseneder Award for Technical and Maintenance Excellence

The Craig Roseneder Award recognises technical and maintenance excellence in the workshop by an individual. It celebrates the professionalism of the men and women who work behind the scenes in the trucking industry’s workshops.

Conditions of Entry

In submitting this nomination, the person making the nomination affirms they have complied with the following conditions of entry:

Nominees for the award must be an individual who operates full-time in the Australian trucking industry.

The nominee must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the field.

Anyone can nominate a candidate, but self-nominations are not accepted.

Previous winners of this award category are not eligible.

Nominations for this award close at 11pm (Canberra time), Sunday 16 August 2026 and will not be accepted after the closing date.

Selection Criteria

This section is an integral part of the judging process. The ATA along with the National Trucking Awards Judging Panel encourage and urge nominators to provide detailed responses to each section and to pay close attention to the requirements for supporting documents and files.

Personal Attributes and Work Experience

Describe the person’s character, personality and interests.
Career history – list employers, years served, and position held.

Demonstrated Contribution to the Industry

Provide details demonstrating the nominee’s high level of skill and aptitude demonstrated by: relevant qualifications, innovative projects, safety and environmental initiatives that have produced tangible benefits for the employer company, or TruckSafe / Heavy Vehicle Accreditation involvement (or participation in an equivalent scheme).
Provide details of the nominee’s dedication to the job through: professional standards, client and supplier relationships, coaching, mentoring and training and any industry and community involvement.

Supporting Documents and Files

Nominations must be accompanied by a good quality, electronic photograph that can be used for publicity purposes (head and shoulders).
Nominations must include one or more signed references from authoritative sources.

Judging Process

Finalists may be required to participate in a videoconference with the judging panel in September 2026.

Prize

A fully paid trip to Orlando, Florida, USA, to attend TMC’s 2027 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition. The prize will be booked by the ATA and includes:

Return economy airfares to the United States of America
Full registration to the US TMC 2027 event
5 nights premium conference accommodation
AUD1K spending money
